Supported Platforms

This page describes the software and infrastructure you need in order to run BrokerStar smoothly. Please read this information before you start working with BrokerStar.

The information on this page applies to BrokerStar version 2.5 and above.

  • BrokerStar should only be run on supported browsers. Any platform or version that is not listed on this page is not supported, which means that we don't test, fix bugs or provide any assistance for it.
  • You will be informed about upcoming changes to supported platforms by newsletters and  release notes. 


Definitions:

(Haken) Supported - this platform or software fully supports BrokerStar.

(Info) Limited - working with this platform or software is not recommended. We don't perform any test on this platform and are not able to avoid errors. (Troubleshooting is not guaranteed).

(Warnung) Not supported - support for this platform will be provided by an upcoming release..

Additional information:

  • BrokerStar is tested on Google Chrome using standard settings without installing any plugins.

  • It requires Javascript to run.

  • With a content resolution lower than 1366 x 768 px, some items may not be displayed properly.
    A display resolution of at least 1440 x 900 px is recommended.

Testing

Every release is fully tested on a current stable version of Windows 10, 64-bit running  the latest stable version of Google Chrome. If you want to work on a fully supported and tested system, we recommend working on a system with these characteristics.

Every system configuration is different, if your system environment is listed under the supported configurations, your bug reports will be handled with highest priority.

Please note that in limited supported systems not every bug or error can be solved.  This is due to the fact that different systems or browsers process information differently, thus originating different output.


Example

Chrome recognizes both "10.2" and "10,2" as correct format for numbers. Firefox on the contrary, does not recognize "10.2" as a valid number format, therefore it cannot be used for calculations.
